Primrose Valley Farm supports the FairShare CSA Coalition, a non-profit Madison-based consortium of certified organic CSA farms that conducts education, outreach, community building and resource sharing to strengthen the quality and accessibility of CSA produce shares within the local food movement.
Among FairShare’s efforts is Partner Shares, a cost-sharing program that provides financial assistance to limited-income households across communities in the region for purchasing CSA vegetable shares. For eligible households, FairShare will contribute up to $300 toward CSA farm share subscriptions placed with FairShare member farms. Participating families take on the responsibilities of being a CSA subscriber and work with the FairShare CSA Coalition to create an affordable payment plan for the remaining cost of their share.
If you are a Primrose Valley Farm CSA subscriber or just a friend of the Farm , your FairShare Partner Shares contribution can help to subsidize the cost of CSA produce for families who are currently economically challenged and not able to afford CSA subscriber membership on their own. If you know of a family that might qualify for a Partner Share, we encourage you to provide them with information about this program.
